On the way to Turkey, Paulo Victor says goodbye to Flamengo teammates

Formed in the base categories of Flamengo, goalkeeper Paulo Victor already said goodbye to his club mates on Monday. He made a transfer to Gaziantepspor of Turkey, a club that will defend for the next 18 months. On Facebook, midfielder Diego said goodbye to his partner and wished him good luck.

Paulo Victor did not even train with his teammates on Monday. He was still working out bureaucratic details before the trip (at dawn on Monday) to Turkey. At the age of 30, the former Flamengo 48 shirt will have the company of defender Wallace and midfielder Lucas Mugni in Gaziantepspor, which is currently the lantern of the Turkish Championship.

Before traveling to Turkey, Paulo Victor extended his contract with Flamengo for another six months. Now he has ties to Rubro-Negro until mid-2019.

Gaziantepspor did not have to pay for the keeper's loan with Flamengo. The salary, however, will be paid in full by the Turks.

With the departure of Paulo Victor, Thiago becomes the immediate reserve of Alex Muralha in Rubro-Negro. The youngster was a champion of the São Paulo Cup last year. Another young man who gains space with the departure of Paulo is Gabriel Batista, who was the starter in the cup this year and has trained with the professionals on Monday.

Flamengo has not yet defined whether it will seek an experienced reserve for Wall or give more space, in short, to Thiago.
