I want the Argentines to know how much the World Cup weighs, says Maradona

Diego Maradona, in a video published by FIFA, said on Monday that the Argentine national team will once again win a World Cup: "I would like the next Argentinian players to know how much the Cup weighs."

A year and a half from the 2018 World Cup in Russia and more than 20 years after lifting the trophy in Mexico, Maradona once again had the trophy most wanted by all soccer players.

"It's the most beautiful thing a soccer player can live in. Knowing how much the World Cup weighs, having the cup in our hands, we are thousands of players and I was privileged to know how much this trophy weighs," said the player in the video.

After thanking God for being born a soccer player, Maradona received the trophy that the selections raise since 1974.

In the recording, the "Pibe de ouro" looks at the trophy as one who meets a great love: "It's beautiful ... beautiful ...", he declared.

"I hope the next Argentinian players will know how much the Cup weighs," added the former player.

Still holding the trophy, Maradora pinned it: "I want to take it home."

"It's something that we fight for a lot, that we look for a lot, and we all try the same thing, with the same hope and claw, training more and more to stay close to her," Maradona said.

"What I have in my arms is the world, the world plays football, I love this cup," said the former Argentina 10 jersey.
